Team --

Donald and his colleagues in the House passed the HEROES Act nearly three months ago to provide critical relief to healthcare workers, families, and our economy during COVID-19. And now -- after doing nothing for months -- Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans have proposed their own bill in response: the HEALS Act.

Looking at both bills, one thing is certain: the Senate needs to pass the HEROES Act because the HEALS Act does not even begin to cut it.

Here's how the two bills stack up next to each other:

HEROES
(Passed by Donald and House Democrats)
✅ Hazard pay for essential workers,
✅ $600 unemployment benefits through January 31st,
✅ $75 billion for testing and contact tracing,
✅ $58 billion for public schools.

HEALS
(Proposed by Senate Republicans)
❌ No hazard pay for essential workers,
❌ $200 unemployment benefits through October 5th,
❌ $16 billion for testing and contact tracing,
❌ Requires most schools to open to receive funding, even if it's not safe to open.

If you think Mitch McConnell and the Senate Republicans' bill is unacceptable, join Donald in supporting an effective relief package. Demand the Senate provide the American people with the aid we deserve >>

Look, with coronavirus cases on the rise in many states, things have only gotten harder for working families in the past five months. We're in the middle of an economic recession and millions of Americans have lost their jobs. This isn't the time for the federal government to cut back on aid, but that's just what Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans are threatening to do.

Donald knows working families are struggling right now, and that paying for rent and groceries is getting more and more difficult. He's spoken with people across the district who've lost their jobs and who've been relying on the very enhanced unemployment benefits that Senate Republicans want to cut.

Donald will never turn his back on Americans struggling to get by, but time is running out to get critical relief legislation passed in the Senate, so he needs your help. Will you stand with Donald in demanding the Senate pass a comprehensive relief package?
