Save the Date:Amendment One <[link removed]>?added a section to the North Carolina?constitution by a statewide referendum in 2012 defining marriage solely as a union between a man and a woman. The statewide vote was 61% to 39% in favor.? Durham County voted the opposite--70% to 30% against.
