Arizona is primed to turn blue in November. Here are the signs:

  • Democratic voters turned out in near-record numbers for Arizona’s primary last week, outpacing GOP voters for the first time in at least two decades.
  • Poll after poll on Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight shows that Democrats have the lead in the race for Arizona’s 11 electoral votes and U.S. Senate seat.
  • Arizona’s Democratic base consisting of Latinx, Black, and Native voters is growing and mobilizing like never before.
  • Arizona is consistently listed as a top 2020 battleground state by political pundits and publications, with Democrats (and Republicans) investing heavily in Arizona.
While the momentum is exciting, we cannot rest on our laurels now. Republicans are spending millions of dollars in Arizona and running robust organizing programs to turn out the GOP vote.
