Dear Friend,

First of all, thank you. So much has changed these last few months, which is why I’m so thankful you're part of the VOA community.

As we all continue navigating life in a pandemic, VOA is still in rapid-response mode helping people hit hardest by the crisis, and you're still helping us on the front lines.

We’re seeing significant increases of people arriving at our centers, forced "into the fray” from evictions, lost jobs, and at a breaking point triggered by the ups and downs of this health crisis.

Operation Backpack - Donate Now

Will you renew your support for our 2020 Helping Hands Drive today?

These are real examples of people you can help now with your support:
$29 can provide meals for an elderly woman who can’t risk leaving her home;
– $100 can provide little children in a low-income family with school supplies for distance learning the whole school year;
– $150 can provide safe shelter for 2 weeks for a homeless family with nowhere to go after layoffs and an eviction.

Our Helping Hands Drive ends August 31, but please consider a gift as soon as you’re able. Every person in our care arrived at our doors, out of hope. Helping hands—yours with VOA—have the power to change that.

With gratitude,

Stephanie Paauwe
Vice President, Volunteers of America

P.S. Helping hands are a powerful symbol! Imagine your hands poised together and reaching out to a hungry child, a disabled senior, or a homeless vet in your area. Your kindness can save a life. And at the heart of your impact...they know they’re not alone.
