Congresswoman Karen Bass and activist Stacey Abrams are warning us about Donald Trump’s racist census plot in a Washington Post op-ed. If you haven’t yet heard, Trump has ordered that undocumented immigrants not be counted in this decade’s census. On top of that, Trump is moving to end the census before Americans of color get a chance to be counted.
If Trump’s plan succeeds, he’ll strip federal funds and political power from minority populations for years to come. This will be devastating to already hard-hit communities -- and will only tilt the electoral college even further toward Republicans. The best way for us to stop Trump is to make sure we’re all counted -- and that starts with you. If you want a government that represents you, make a commitment now:
