Today, his tireless commitment to service can be seen and felt in the good work of the Clinton Foundation. After two devastating hurricanes ripped through my childhood community of Puerto Rico, President Clinton, his team, and their partners were there, helping people recover and rebuild their homes and businesses. And today, as we weather another hurricane season, they are still there, installing solar panels on hospitals and clinics and readying relief supplies.
As a longtime advocate for the small business community, I’m also proud to see how he and his team continue to help entrepreneurs across our country and around the world pursue their dreams — including, most recently, a “grassroots sewing army” in Haiti who are meeting today’s challenges by creating jobs through making masks for our COVID first responders.
So as his birthday approaches, and in honor of President Clinton’s example of service to others, let’s celebrate a bit differently this year. Instead of a traditional birthday card, please join Hillary and me in signing a card of thanks for the many staff members, volunteers, and partners who carry forward his vision of improving the lives of others.
Your words and support will mean so much to them — and I know they will mean a lot to President Clinton, as well.
Sincerely,
Aida Álvarez
