Hi there,

Last month, Barack Obama gave a stirring eulogy at John Lewis's funeral, arguing that voting rights reforms such as the ending of partisan gerrymandering, making Election Day a national holiday, and automatic voting registration were the best ways to honor the late congressman and activist.

While not mentioning Donald Trump by name, Obama also took aim at the current president, warning that Trump was a threat to democracy because his efforts to suppress the vote: "But even as we sit here, there are those in power are doing their darnedest to discourage people from voting -- by closing polling locations, and targeting minorities and students with restrictive ID laws, and attacking our voting rights with surgical precision, even undermining the Postal Service in the run-up to an election that is going to be dependent on mailed-in ballots so people don't get sick."

Trump was not a big fan of the eulogy, dismissing it as "a terrible speech" and even going so far as to suggest that Obama was bitter and out of control.

But Trump has been proving Obama right a lot recently. In his continued attacks on mail-in voting, his refusal to say he would concede a defeat to Joe Biden, and his administration's changes to the United States Postal Service that have slowed down mail service, Donald Trump is trying to do everything in his power to undermine the democratic process.

Though no longer in the White House, Barack Obama is still standing with the American people -- and fighting against the Demagogue-in-Chief Donald Trump. Please let us know if you support Obama and his continued fight to protect American democracy:
