Team, Josh joined Stephanie Ruhle on MSNBC this week to discuss the need to pass further relief funding for American families immediately. They also talked about the recent news about the camera company, Kodak, and the shady deal that just transpired between the Administration and a small group of Kodak shareholders.
These already high-earning shareholders made millions off of this sweetheart deal right after it was announced, and are suspected of insider trading. In the midst of a pandemic, our focus must be on the American people.
Right now — as Congress can’t decide on next steps of COVID-19 relief and the families and small business communities are struggling to make next month's rent, Kodak struck a deal under the Defense Production Act for $765 million to develop chemicals for prescription drugs (something they’ve never done before)! We have lots of life sciences companies in NJ that actually make these drugs.
Kodak’s deal exasperates the ideological gridlock in Washington. Finding real solutions to our problems by working across the aisle is more important than awarding a multimillion dollar deal to a company unequipped to be in the pharmaceutical industry.
Josh won’t stop fighting for relief legislation until our community — and the others like it across the country — get the help they need.
