Join the AYD HEE Caucus' Sex Ed Squad!
Help out the mission to make Arlington's sexual health and relationships education medically accurate, comprehensive, inclusive, and age-appropriate! The past HEE Caucus Chair, Pablo Moulden, is seeking volunteers to help with a resolution to amend the Family Life Education curriculum in Arlington.By changing Arlington's current sex ed curriculum to one that is mandatory and more comprehensive, it would make it age-appropriate, inclusive, and medically accurate. This would cover information about:
- Contraception (not abstinence only)
- Partner selection
- Reproductive health outcomes
- Consent, sexual harassment, and assault prevention
- Positive representation of LBGTQ+ related topics
- Gender identity and sexual orientation
