When Donald Trump was running for president in 2024 and FISA Section 702 was up for renewal, he forcefully ordered lawmakers to “KILL FISA.”

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) smugly defied Trump when he became the DECIDING VOTE to continue the unconstitutional warrantless mass surveillance of American citizens.

Now that Trump is president, he appears willing to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by asking lawmakers to renew Section 702 with no changes.

That’s the bad news.

But there might be a little good news, too.

Your action on this issue has gotten the attention of some lawmakers who have been good on this issue in the past.

Inside sources are now reporting new “Fourth Amendment text” is being drafted to amend Section 702 before it is brought to the floor.

There is no way to know what the amendment will look like right now.

But according to Rep. Clay Higgins, who considers himself to be a “constitutionalist,” he’ll be “satisfied” with an amendment addressing “American citizens who were subject to search or query in some way.”

That means he’ll compromise away your right to a warrant in exchange for some kind of protection AFTER your rights have been violated.

THAT’S NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

And based on Speaker Johnson’s prior shenanigans, it is clear you and I cannot let up until this battle is won!

The fight over FISA Section 702 is about to come to a head — and everything we’ve warned about is happening.

House Speaker Mike Johnson and House leadership could attempt to FORCE through a long-term renewal of Section 702 with little debate and no meaningful warrant protections for Americans.

This is how it works in the Swamp when they think the public isn’t paying attention.

They move fast.

They bury the details.

They hope you won’t notice until it’s too late.

But we are paying attention — and we’re not backing down.

WHAT’S AT STAKE

Section 702 has been used by the Deep State to justify warrantless surveillance of Americans’ communications — something that directly conflicts with the Fourth Amendment.
