CORRECTION: Our proofreaders missed this! Our email said that Missouri voters passed Medicare for All but they actually voted to expand Medicaid. We wish they had voted for Medicare for All!

John -- This past Tuesday, Missouri voters made their voices heard, loud and clear! Cori Bush -- a major supporter of Medicare for All -- won her primary, and voters also voted to expand Medicaid.

Jon Hoadley (MI-06) and Rashida Tlaib (MI-13) also scored big wins for us! Congratulations!

But the fight isn’t over! Can you help us score more wins to guarantee healthcare as a human right?

Michigan has had a turbulent history with its state Medicaid program. While GOP lawmakers in Congress have tried to repeal the ACA, the state saw more than 2 million people enrolled in its Medicaid/CHIP program as of March 2020. That number has grown significantly during the COVID crisis. At the beginning of 2020, Michigan tried to enforce work requirements for the Medicaid Expansion Program, but it was quickly overturned by a judge who saw the importance of guaranteeing healthcare. Now, more than ever, the people of Michigan are recognizing just how essential healthcare is to every person, and they made their voices heard on Tuesday.

But Jon Hoadley’s fight isn’t over yet. He’s facing Republican incumbent Fred Upton in the general election. Even though the road ahead won’t be easy, victory is within reach! In 2018, the Democratic nominee came within 4 points of beating Upton. This is a winnable race.

Jon will be joining five other BNC candidates taking on Republican opponents in the general election: Paula Jean Swearengin (U.S. Senate - WV), Kara Eastman (NE-02), Nick Rubando (OH-05), Adrienne Bell (TX-10), and Mike Siegel (TX-10). All of our diverse candidates support Medicare for All, and they will fight for you.

Help us elect candidates who support Medicare for All. Can you contribute $6 for 6 candidates?
