Justice Democrats

We wanted to make sure you saw this story from HuffPo, John — Ilhan’s establishment primary opponent has hidden 78% of his campaign spending behind shady shell companies to help his vendors get around the DCCC’s blacklist policy:

"Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar’s Challenger Faces Legal Trouble"

Ilhan’s primary is this Tuesday, and her GOP-funded challenger has poured millions into this race to unseat her with the help of his mystery vendors. We can’t afford to let such a corrupt candidate — who refuses to deny corporate PAC contributions — replace a progressive champion who’s made huge strides toward securing Medicare for All, a Green New Deal and a housing guarantee.

Will you chip in to her re-election campaign now to make sure Ilhan wins this primary so she can continue fighting for progress for working people?

The DCCC has a blacklist policy for vendors who work with Democratic challengers but that only seems to apply to progressives like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez or Jamaal Bowman who challenge centrist incumbents — and not the other way around. And this is not the first time Ilhan’s challenger has skirted the DCCC’s rules: A firm with strong DCCC connections once worked for his campaign, and upon cutting ties after being caught, the firm’s contract still allowed them to keep their valuable fundraising email list.

While the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party and government watchdog Campaign Legal Center have filed complaints against Ilhan’s challenger’s campaign, it’s up to we the people to organize with the short time we have left to power Ilhan to victory in this primary.

Donate to Ilhan’s campaign right now to make sure she has the resources to win and keep up her fights for people-first policies in Congress.

Thank you for your support.
