I couldn't be prouder to share with you that the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) has awarded our office with the 2020 Notable Document Award for the report that came out of our Task Force on Lowering Pharmaceutical Drug Prices.

As I said at the time we released the report, when it comes to the cost of prescription drugs, too many are having to choose between affording their lives and living. I pulled together the task force to shed much-needed light on this critical problem, and to lay the groundwork to solve it.

The report was the end product of a full year of planning, testimony, and deliberation. It provides a comprehensive analysis of why we're in this mess and a comprehensive framework for addressing it.

I firmly believe that if we implement these concrete recommendations, we will drive drug prices down and help people better afford their lives.
