[ [link removed] ]Francesca Hong for Governor[ [link removed] ]Francesca Hong for Governor
Jack,
My name is Nina Turner. I'm a former Ohio State Senator, the national
co-chair of Bernie Sanders' presidential campaign, and a lifelong
organizer who has spent my entire career fighting political corruption.
I’m writing to you today because of a candidate in Wisconsin who is
running on those same principles — and winning.

Francesca Hong is not another cautious, politics-as-usual Democrat waiting
for permission to lead. She’s a service worker, a single mom, the daughter
of immigrants, a small business owner and a State Representative, where
she’s been a tireless fighter for working-class people. Now, she’s leading
the Democratic field for governor running on the boldest affordability
platform in the race.
Universal childcare — because no parent should have to choose between
their job and their child. Paid family leave — because working people
deserve to be there when their family needs them without losing their
paycheck. Fully funded public schools — because the quality of our
children’s education should not depend on their zip code. Expanded
healthcare — because no one should go bankrupt for getting sick in the
richest country on earth.
Fran's policies are universally popular, they will improve lives, and most
importantly, Fran will fight to get it done. Her vision for creating
permanent affordability in Wisconsin is resonating across party lines
because voters are hungry for leadership that serves them, not
corporations.
Wisconsin has the opportunity to play a pivotal role in showing the
country what happens when we elect Democrats who prioritize working
families.
That’s why I’m calling on progressives everywhere to rally behind Fran and
support her historic campaign. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to put
a rock-solid candidate into the governor’s office of a crucial swing
state.
But she can't do it without resources. In a crowded primary against
candidates with deeper donor networks and establishment backing, Fran is
relying entirely on grassroots support. No corporate PAC money. Just
people like you and me who believe the Democratic Party should fight for
working families.
