Immigration advocate Juan Escalante told MSNBC that Donald Trump's latest attack on DACA showed "a complete and utter disrespect of the Supreme Court's order," elaborating that it was "the first step" in ending the landmark immigration program altogether.

Trump's move to block roughly half a million undocumented immigrants who arrived in the U.S. as children -- sometimes called DREAMers -- from applying for deportation relief under DACA is indeed a disrespect of the Supreme Court.

Just two months ago, the high court blocked Trump's attempt to overturn DACA, saying the president's behavior was illegal. But now, Trump is destroying DACA from the inside out -- and leaving hundreds of thousands of vulnerable Americans at risk. We're demanding that Trump respect the Supreme Court's ruling and abandon his attacks on our country's immigrants -- but so far, Trump's efforts have been successful.
