Hey John -

Dan Crenshaw here. I hope you are well.

I’m continuing to highlight positive trends in COVID hospitalizations in Houston and articulating the choice for voters this November between Democrats and Republicans.

Follow me on Twitter ([link removed]) , Facebook ([link removed]) , and Instagram ([link removed]) for regular updates and news you can use. As always, thank you for your support.

Now, here’s your campaign brief:

ENCOURAGING TREND CONTINUES
For more than two weeks, new COVID hospitalizations in Houston have been on a downward trend. This is an encouraging trend, but we still have a long way to go.

We must keep doing our part - taking those personal precautions that will help ensure we do not lock down again. We will get through this by sticking together. That’s exactly what we’re doing in Texas.

YOUR CHOICE IN NOVEMBER
We must take Democrats at their word.

They say they want to defund the police. They mean it.

They say they want to dismantle America’s societal institutions. They mean it.

They want a progressive revolution, but must destroy our country’s foundations first. We can’t let them.

Republicans want to restore trust in our police and other critical institutions in our society. That’s why we’ve introduced commonsense reforms to improve community policing, which Democrats blocked.

Republicans want to rebuild the greatest economy America has ever seen. We will do this through pro-growth policies that allow Americans to keep more of their hard-earned money, while Democrats are calling for tax increases and a government takeover of our economy.

Republicans want to renew the American dream and the spirit of unity in our country - we will teach your kids to love America, while Democrats want our next generation to believe America was built on racism and inequality.

This is your choice in November.

MEDICAL INNOVATION SAVES LIVES

Proposals like Medicare for All and price controls kill innovation and incentives to invest in R&D. No one disputes this, actually. So why is innovation personal for me?

Susan Carol Crenshaw — my mother — lost her battle with cancer when I was 10 years old. Before she died, she was Patient #1 for a new treatment called Taxotere. My mom knew that this clinical trial would mean a small extension on her life at best. She knew that Taxotere would not ultimately save her life, but that her trial would give doctors the scientific research they needed to improve the drug and save the lives of countless others.

Now Taxotere is one of the most successful breast cancer treatments available, thanks to the invaluable research following my mom’s trial.

Medical innovation saves lives. It's why I helped introduce the Lower Costs, More Cures Act to hold pharmaceutical companies accountable, lower prescription drug costs, AND encourage more innovative cures.
