First off, thanks so much to everyone who pitched to help us reach last week's fundraising goal. I'm so grateful to have you on this team.
As Mary Gay's campaign manager, it's my job to ensure our 2020 Voter Empowerment Strategy is fully funded so every voter we need to re-elect Mary Gay can get their ballots in this fall. We've got to keep our campaign running strong and continue investing in our direct mail campaign and digital outreach to ensure eligible voters know how to request their mail-in ballots, complete them, and return them in time to be counted.
With the GOP's continued voter suppression strategies instilling widespread distrust in our vote-by-mail system, we cannot fall short on any of our goals.
Every Saturday, I review our finances and plan for the fight ahead. I map out exactly what we'll need to raise and spend to reach tens of thousands of voters and out-communicate Mary Gay's far-right Trump-picked opponent. This morning is no different.
I'm confident in the strategy we built, and now, we just need to make sure we have the grassroots power to sustain our strategy through to Election Day.
We really need to pick up the pace on our August fundraising so we can go toe-to-toe with the national Republicans trying to unseat Mary Gay and stop our progress. By the end of the month, we've set a goal of raising $35,000 from supporters like you who care about getting our country back on track.
Your contributions keep our team fighting just as hard as Mary Gay does for us in Washington.
