Friends,
As we continue our fight against the coronavirus pandemic, I’ve been leading the bipartisan push for more funding for hospitals and COVID-19 medical research.
Throughout this pandemic, I have helped deliver more than a billion dollars for North Carolina hospitals, including a $27 million contract from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) that will support Wake Forest Baptist Health’s COVID-19 antibody and surveillance research, a key component of controlling and defeating the pandemic.
North Carolina and the United States are blessed to have world-class medical researchers, academic institutions, scientists, and doctors who work tirelessly to improve the health of the country.
Our medical schools and teaching hospitals are playing a unique, dual role during the COVID-19 pandemic by treating COVID-positive patients, developing cutting-edge research, and developing diagnostic tests and treatment options for COVID-19. I will continue my work to support every hospital and health care facility in the great state of North Carolina.
Thank you for reading, and as always please reach out to my office if you have any questions or need help with a federal agency and please stay safe.
All the best,
