Fellow Conservative,

Please join Heritage Action and The Heritage Foundation as we officially kick-off the Fight for America campaign with Vice President Mike Pence in Des Moines, Iowa! This grassroots town hall will feature testimony from those most on the front lines fighting the Liberal Left and standing up for American values.  Mark your calendar and look for details next week on how to watch and support.
To Fight for America means to stand up for American values and institutions in the face of the Left’s extremism—to support law enforcement in our communities, call for accountability within our education system, and remind our neighbors to vote for American values this November!

Grassroots activists across the country are already leading the charge to support American values and our brave law enforcement! Check out their stories below!

>>> We’ll continue sharing stories all month, so if you have pictures and a story to share, reach out to the Heritage Action Regional Coordinator for your region (see contact info here) <[link removed]>.
Stories from Fight for America
CNN isn’t going to cover these events, so we’re happy to share what’s really happening in America as we go on offense in our communities for America:

“Back the Blue” Street Mural
Last Saturday in Tampa, FL, a group of 50 activists painted a “Back the Blue” street mural <[link removed]> outside the Tampa Police Department's downtown headquarters. Kelli Campbell, who helped organize the mural painting, says it was all about showing support for law enforcement. “We want to make sure that they know just because we aren’t the loudest, doesn’t mean we aren’t there and in numbers." She's part of a "Back the Blue Florida" <[link removed]> group on Facebook that currently has over 6,000 members in it, and is growing in numbers every day.
Greenville, SC “DEFEND the Police” Rally and Parade
The event <[link removed]> kicked off with remarks from the Greenville County Sheriff, Greenville City Chief of Police, and several state lawmakers, followed by a car parade around town! About 500 people took part in 300 decorated cars and motorcycles! At the end of the parade, volunteers were on hand to accept donations on behalf of the Greenville County Sheriff's Office Foundation raising $3,000 in scholarship money that will go to the children of local law enforcement officers. Everyone was encouraged to patronize locally-owned restaurants after the event to help buoy businesses facing hardship due to COVID-19.
Redlands Tea Party Patriots “Defend our Police” Rally in Redlands, CA
Redlands Tea Party Patriots hosted a sign wave to support the police <[link removed]> and defend law and order. Over 100 people gathered in the heat to show their thanks to the police and counter anti-police protestors.
Fight for America continued across the country with pro-police sign-waves and “Support Police Days.” Check out pictures and more information at the links below:

- Attorney General William Barr stopped to thank people at a pro-police sign-wave <[link removed]> outside a police precinct in Virginia on Thursday.
- Redlands Tea Party Patriots held a second sign-wave supporting law enforcement <[link removed]> at Yucaipa City Hall (CA).
- Sentinels in St. Joe County Tea Party Patriots held a pro-police sign-wave <[link removed]> in Mishawaka, IN.
Pro-Police Resolution
At the urging of conservative activists, the town of Huntertown, Indiana passed a resolution <[link removed]> in support of law enforcement officers.

Lunches for Law Enforcement Officers
Sentinel Wendi Mahoney started a fundraiser called Lunches for Law Enforcement Officers <[link removed]> which provides lunches to 80 local officers in Nashville, TN every other Friday by partnering with local businesses that are suffering from coronavirus impacts. The goal is to support law enforcement and also locally-owned and operated restaurants. She plans to continue all the way through Election Day in November. More info here <[link removed]>.
Louisville Rallies Behind Restaurateur
A restaurant owner in Louisville was besieged by BLM’s mob tactics of fear and intimidation. But when Fernando Martinez stood his ground and refused to be extorted for money <[link removed]>, the Cuban community took courage and rallied behind him <[link removed]>, saying “We need to stand together and fight against anyone who's trying to extort people who're just trying to make a way in this country." In America, when you take a stand for what is right, patriots will stand with you.
“Protect Our Vote” Protest against expanded mail-in voting
Heritage Action Sentinels joined hundreds of people in a protest against sending mail-in ballots <[link removed]> to every voter for the November election in Nevada. There is a correct way to do vote-by-mail <[link removed]>, but indiscriminately mailing out millions of ballots is not it. To protect the integrity of our elections, it’s much better to mail out request forms for absentee ballots.
That’s it for this week, but be on the lookout for more stories from the front lines in the Fight for America campaign. Sharing these stories will be a recurring theme all month, so be sure to share your activism with a Regional Coordinator <[link removed]>!

Thank you!

Jessica Anderson and the Heritage Action team.
