Kate Bolz for Congress

Dear friends,

I’ve been hearing a lot of questions and concerns about Trump’s recent suggestion that we should postpone the election.

Short answer: No.

Long answer: President Trump does not have the authority to postpone the election – it’s unconstitutional. Voting by mail is safe and accurate. The election is still November 3rd.

Democracy is the backbone of our country. Every eligible voter has the right to be heard, and attempts to weaken or undermine the democratic process should be far below the honor of the White House.

No matter what, President Trump does not get to change the date of the election. Frankly, I am appalled that the leader of our nation has chosen to stoke panic, confusion, and fear for personal gain.

Listen, it’s time for some competent leadership in Washington. The people deserve strong, independent-thinking representatives, not more yes-men like Fortenberry. I’m running for Congress to cut through the noise and actually advocate for the people of Nebraska. If you’re with me, will you chip in a few dollars to my people-powered campaign?
