We will only get through this crisis if we all have the testing, care, and financial help we need to survive. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Dear Friend,

It has been nearly four months since Congress passed the CARES Act. As you know, that bill excluded millions of tax-paying immigrants from COVID-19 relief by disqualifying people who file their taxes with an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN). Even worse, the bill also excluded millions of U.S. citizens by penalizing tax-paying families with mixed–immigration status.

This is unacceptable.

Immigrants are essential. Will you take two minutes to ask your representative in Congress to sign Rep. Judy Chu’s letter to House and Senate leadership urging them to include immigrants in the next COVID-19 relief bill? >>>

Denying millions of immigrant families the relief they need is not a solution. It’s cruel. Immigrants care for our sick loved ones, feed our families, and keep our supply chains going. Immigrants are essential, and they must be included in COVID-19 relief.

Friend, at a time when we need leadership, we are seeing President Trump distract and divide us to cover for his own policy failings. It’s clear that we have a long road ahead of us, and without your voice we can’t accomplish what’s necessary. Now more than ever we need Congress to demonstrate the courage to do the right thing.

Thank you for lending your voice,

-National Immigration Law Center
