Did you see this note from Gary, friend? He’s heading into his general election fight after being outraised five times in a row by his Trump- and DeVos-backed opponent, John James.

Gary has spent the last six years fighting hard for Michigan workers and families in the Senate. Now it’s time to step up and fight for him.

Thanks,

Debbie

Friend,

It’s official: Earlier this week, Trump’s handpicked candidate John James became my opponent -- after outraising my campaign five times in a row over the last year, thanks to support from GOP billionaires like Betsy DeVos’ family.

You may remember just two years ago when Republicans spent millions trying to defeat Senator Stabenow in Michigan to elect John James. Needless to say, it didn’t work -- but now Donald Trump is on the ballot, and they’re fighting harder and spending more than ever to elect the man who supports Trump’s agenda “2000%.”

Both CBS News and Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight are reporting that if we lose in Michigan, Democrats have ZERO chance at taking back the Senate in 2020. That's why my team just set a $80,000 emergency grassroots goal to kick off our general election fight against John James -- and we can only reach it if supporters like you step up right away.

It’s never been more urgent that we head into our general election fight prepared to go toe-to-toe with my opponent’s billionaire allies. Winning in Michigan is key to sending Joe Biden to the White House, building a Senate majority and keeping the House.

Thank you for stepping up,

Gary Peters
U.S. Senator, Michigan
