So when Trump, Pence, and their bigoted allies try to turn back the clock on LGBTQ+ rights, they target not only myself, but countless Americans like me.

As a gay Member of Congress, I have a responsibility to fight for what's right.

Because we've come too far as a country to allow bigotry in our government and in our country to become the new normal.

When I woke up after Election Day in 2016, I was terrified for my family's future.

And right now, Trump and his bigoted Republican allies are launching one of the WORST assaults on LGBTQ+ rights in history.

They've changed policy to deny visas to diplomats for their same-sex spouses, and are trying to completely ELIMINATE protections for transgender Americans. It's truly SICKENING.

It's clear that today's Republican agenda is hell-bent on gutting LGBTQ+ rights permanently. And that's why I'm asking for your help today with a small donation. I need your support to keep fighting in Congress against bigotry and hate.

Keeping a Democratic House is the only way that we can protect millions of Americans whose rights have been threatened by the GOP.

I'm running in a district Trump won in 2016, and Republicans are eyeing districts like mine for easy wins.
