The Washington Post: "Postal Service backlog sparks worries that ballot delivery could be delayed in November"

The Washington Post reports that the postmaster general, a major Trump donor, is instituting dangerous new policies that are slowing down mail delivery, and John, there are reports that voters should cast their ballots by October 20th -- two full weeks before Election Day -- to ensure they arrive in time.

I'm working to get to the bottom of this, demand answers, and ensure the Postal Service gets the funding required to execute largescale voting by mail this November. Read about my efforts in the Washington Post article here >>

The number of voters mailing in ballots this November is expected to break records. With fewer than three months left until Election Day, we need to take action now to ensure every voter's voice is heard -- as is their constitutional right.

Will you add your name to mind and demand that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Republicans in Congress take action to save the Postal Service?

The Postal Service provides an essential service year-round, but it's especially critical right now in the midst of a pandemic when Americans are relying on the USPS to deliver essentials like groceries and medicine and to vote this November.

As elected officials, we have a responsibility to protect the integrity of our democracy and our elections, but Republicans aren't doing their part. In fact, the Trump Administration is trying to undermine voting by mail:

President Trump continues to make false attacks against the credibility of voting by mail
He proposed delaying the election
The Trump Administration is offering a loan with onerous strings attached that would threaten the USPS' independence and limit its access to critical funds

This isn't a partisan issue. This is about our democracy.

Add your name and demand McConnell and Republicans in Congress take action to save the USPS ahead of the November election.

Thank you for taking action today,

TC
