Elizabeth Warren is looking into the future -- and she sees a world where Donald Trump refuses to let go.
Amidst ongoing GOP efforts to call the election results into doubt -- and on the heels of Trump’s suggestion to delay the November vote entirely -- Warren is demanding that government agencies not use federal agents to harass protesters who seek to defend democracy from Trump.
In her own words, Warren wants a promise from agency chiefs that “you will not allow the military or civilian forces under your control to be used by the President to suppress dissent and democracy.”
Meanwhile, Trump says he won’t commit to accepting the presidential election outcome, reminding us that “I didn't last time either.” We’re glad Elizabeth Warren is fighting to hold Trump accountable -- but so far, none of the agencies Warren addressed have agreed to her terms.
