Friend,
Donald Trump called me a "nasty person," and he called Governor Gretchen Whitmer "that woman from Michigan." We have a lot in common -- so I'm thinking we'll have a lot to talk about.
I'm excited to join Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer on Zoom next Thursday, August 13th, at 5:30 p.m. ET / 2:30 p.m. PT -- donate $15 or whatever feels right to you, and you can join us!
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Both Governor Whitmer and I know all too well how important state leadership is right now and how much that leadership is under attack if it doesn't fall in line with what Donald Trump wants.
We both made hard choices during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic this spring that saved lives but were immediately and publicly criticized by President Trump on Twitter and on TV -- but we've both seen that those actions made all the difference to millions of people in our own states.
And that's just part of a long history of Gretchen fighting to put people first, not politics. She's a mom, former state legislator, prosecutor, and current governor -- so she's really seen and done it all, and she's led her state with guts, grit, and grace. I can't wait to catch up over Zoom -- I hope you can join us.
RSVP to join Governor Whitmer and I on Zoom next Thursday, August 13th, at 5:30 p.m. ET / 2:30 p.m. PT by donating $15 or whatever feels right to you right now.
Very truly yours,
Jay
