Here is the reality as the Trump Pandemic continues to go unchecked:
- Federal unemployment assistance has run out for millions of Americans.
- Schools are being pressured to re-open even though it is becoming increasingly clear that doing so could risk the lives of millions of students, teachers, and staff.
- Millions of Americans have lost their health insurance despite the fact that we are mired in a global health disaster the likes of which humanity has not seen for at least a century.
- The United States Postal Service is being run into the ground by a Trump sycophant just months out from what may be the most consequential election of our lifetimes — an election where voting by mail is critical to ensure that every American can vote safely.
- Millions of essential workers continue to do their jobs without hazard pay or even extra precautions to protect them from getting infected.
- Cities and states are seeing tax revenue dry up as a result of the Trump-induced recession and, without federal assistance, are on the verge of slashing services and laying off millions more workers.
- Millions of Americans, including families with children, are facing eviction even if they lost their job because of the coronavirus.
Literally tens of millions of Americans are on the brink of absolute economic collapse.
Meanwhile, Republicans — led by Mitch McConnell in the Senate and Trump stooge Mark Meadows in the White House — are refusing to negotiate in good faith on the next coronavirus relief package.
Tell Republicans in Congress and the White House:
Do the right thing for once. The pandemic is raging out of control and the American people are on the brink of complete financial ruin. Put aside your petulant partisanship, come down from your power trip, and negotiate in good faith to pass a comprehensive bill that will provide the real relief everyday people — not your corporate puppet-masters — need.
Thanks for taking action.
In unity,
