John,
I wanted to make sure you didn't miss this concerning news out of Kansas:
Overnight, more than 1,500 Kansans could no longer drive to work, to doctors' appointments, or anywhere else without breaking the law.
This happened after anti-LGBTQ+ state legislators passed a law (over Governor Laura Kelly's veto) to require all state-issued driver's licenses to reflect the holder's sex assigned at birth. It's transphobia at its finest — forcing transgender Kansans to either illegally drive or get a license that outs them.
This is why Victory Fund supports LGBTQ+ candidates in EVERY state, not just red or blue or purple ones. If you want to make sure LGBTQ+ freedom is protected EVERYWHERE, pitch in [[link removed]] $6.00 [[link removed]] or more right now. [[link removed]]

AS SOON as the law was passed, all transgender Kansans with gender-matching drivers' licenses were immediately thrown into limbo.
Imagine getting a letter an hour before you're supposed to get on a flight to visit your sick parent. Unless you have an alternative real ID like a passport (which 146 million Americans do NOT), you can't get on that plane.
The cruelty is the point, John.
And what's perhaps most disappointing is that this is a reversal — since 2019, Kansas has been taking steps to recognize transgender rights.
The best way to stop the rollback of LGBTQ+ rights is to make sure there are more LGBTQ+ lawmakers casting votes. Pitch in $5.00 or more now to elect pro-choice, pro-equality candidates who will hold the line. [[link removed]]
