New Webpage : Combat Fraud Misinformation
In recent months, lies about immigrants' use of child care funding, Medicaid, SNAP, and other programs have been used to justify disruptions and cuts in Congressionally appropriated funding, fuel attacks against service providers, weaken public benefits programs, and justify sweeping immigration enforcement. This includes recent legislation to deport immigrants “who admit to or are convicted of committing certain fraud offenses.” Visit our new web page to sign your organization onto our letter opposing the use of fraud-based narratives to harm immigrants and learn other ways to take action.

Sign On: Oppose the HUD Mixed-Status Rule and Protect Families
On February 20, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking [[link removed]] to bar mixed-status families from living in HUD-assisted housing. The proposed rule would deny housing assistance to eligible individuals – including U.S. citizens and lawfully present immigrants – if someone in their household does not have an eligible immigration status. There's less than one month left to PIF in opposing the proposed rule by signing your organization onto our comment through the link below.

Blog: Restricting Affordable Care Act Access for Lawful Immigrants
A new CBPP blog by Shelby Gonzales highlights how the ACA’s major gains for millions of people who have been able to get comprehensive and affordable health coverage are now at serious risk. The Republican megabill enacted in July 2025 removes coverage from people with lawful immigration status, including refugees, people granted asylum, and victims of trafficking and domestic violence. As a result of these new immigration-related restrictions to ACA premium tax credits, Medicaid, CHIP, and Medicare, over 1.4 million people are projected to lose coverage by 2034. NCN Sign-On: Oppose Proposed Changes Harming Nonprofits and Communities
The Trump administration has proposed requiring all federal grantees, including nonprofits, state, local, and Tribal government, and other entities, to sign new certifications under the threat of civil and criminal penalties before applying for or receiving federal resources, including grants, cooperative agreements, and other assistance. These certifications include language about not encouraging people without documented status to enter or live in the U.S. as well as broader anti-DEI provisions. The certifications are vague and complex, potentially putting organizations that serve immigrants at risk. The National Council of Nonprofits (NCN) is circulating a sign-on letter, and we encourage PIF partners to sign and share with their networks. Sign via the link below by Monday, March 30.

CCD Sign-On: Oppose CMS Attacks on Immigrants and Services
As part of the Trump administration's broader efforts to attack immigrants and benefit programs by describing them as "fraud," the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a request for information on ways to address fraud. Our partners at the Consortium for Constituents with Disabilities (CCD) have written a sign-on comment [[link removed]] that explains the importance of Medicaid-funded home and community based services, and expresses deep concern regarding CMS' actions in Minnesota and other attacks on Medicaid funding. The letter makes clear that CMS does not need to take additional steps to prevent, identify, or address fraud regarding individuals' immigration status, and that a bigger problem is that people are being improperly denied services. We encourage PIF partners to sign on by this Friday, March 27.
