Hi John,
The Supreme Court recently ruled that a Nevada church is not exempt from a policy limiting in-person attendance to 50 people.
The vote was 5-4.
That means we almost saw a repeat of what happened in Texas, when Republican governor Greg Abbott ordered that churches be exempt from the statewide mask mandate.
Let’s be clear -- lives are lost when churches re-open too soon. But across the country, government officials are granting faith-based exemptions to CDC guidelines. We’d rather our reopening be based on science and medical expert advice, but that’s not the trend our country is moving in, so we’re reaching out to get your view. Do you think churches should follow a different set of rules? Please let us know:
Should churches be exempt from CDC guidelines?
Thank you for your input -- we couldn’t do the work we do without you.
