Dear A.,

As the United States and Israel fight together to eliminate the threat from Iran’s regime, Senator Bernie Sanders is expected to force votes in the Senate on dangerous resolutions to block critical arms sales to Israel. The votes could come up as soon as this week.

Preventing Israel from purchasing American weapons, in the middle of a joint campaign to degrade Iran’s ballistic missile capabilities, nuclear program, military infrastructure, and proxy network, undermines Israel’s ability to defend itself and America's national security interests.

Please take 45 seconds and urge your members of Congress to vote NO on these dangerous resolutions if they are brought up for a vote.

ACT NOW

I will keep you informed once we know more about the timing of these votes, but it is imperative that senators hear from us often.

Sanders' efforts come as Iran and its proxies continue to launch rockets, missiles, and drones at Israeli civilians — with more than 225 people Israelis injured in just the past few days alone.

Millions of Israelis are rushing with their families into bomb shelters each night, as their neighborhoods are attacked by ruthless terrorists whose goal is to injure and kill as many civilians as possible. Our prayers are with the people of Israel, and with the courageous soldiers of the U.S. Armed Forces and the IDF who are working to degrade Iran’s capabilities.

Must-read op-ed: "Why I support AIPAC and a big tent Democratic Party"

Following last week's primaries in Illinois, AIPAC member and Chicago native Michael J. Sacks wrote an
[link removed]
outstanding op-ed in The Chicago Tribune calling out the hypocrisy and double standards leveled against the pro-Israel community for our political engagement.

"AIPAC wasn’t the only special interest group spending seven figures in these races. The crypto and artificial intelligence industries were all in. But only AIPAC became the cause celebre... The double standard was stark and deliberate: a coordinated effort to make support for Israel a litmus test for Democratic primary candidates in 2026 and beyond."

"Let’s be clear: The campaign against AIPAC is not a policy discussion. It’s a thinly disguised effort to make support for Israel politically toxic in the Democratic Party, to chase Jews and their allies out of our big tent coalition."

"When the votes were counted in the Illinois primaries, the most extreme anti-Israel candidates were rejected in every race. Voters chose pragmatic progressives who focused on the issues that mattered most to them. I hope our leaders see that, and start rejecting litmus tests and double standards, and stand for their commitment to a big tent Democratic Party."

Iran launches long-range missiles capable of reaching Europe

The regime over the weekend launched two ballistic missiles at the U.S.-UK base at Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, nearly
[link removed]
4,000 km from Tehran .

The tests come less than a month after Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi falsely claimed that Iran does not have these long-range missiles. "We have intentionally kept the range of our missiles below 2,000 kilometers," he
[link removed]
said .

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir
[link removed]
said , "These missiles are not intended to strike Israel. Their range extends to the capitals of Europe — Berlin, Paris, and Rome are all within direct threat range."

The mission of AIPAC is to encourage and persuade the U.S. government to enact specific policies that create a strong, enduring and mutually beneficial relationship with our ally Israel.
