Prohibiting Wisconsin’s 700,000 FoodShare recipients from buying Snickers bars and Mountain Dew is an excellent idea that has long been opposed by big spenders and junk food lovers throwing their weight around.

In a spring 2023 referendum, nearly four in five Wisconsin voters agreed that able-bodied childless adults should be required to seek employment to receive government benefits.
