Hey friend,
Bad news: Georgia is quickly becoming one of the epicenters of the coronavirus pandemic, with 200,000 confirmed cases and counting.
Brian Kemp and his administration have repeatedly downplayed this crisis, prioritizing petty politics to such an extent that he’s sued local governments for requiring mask use to curb the spread of the virus.
Georgians deserve better. But Carolyn's opponent in her campaign for Congress, Trump ally Rich McCormick, represents the same failed attitudes and leadership that got us into this mess in the first place.
We don’t need this kind of failure to lead in Georgia, friend. Stand with Carolyn and ensure that our leadership looks out for our community -- not the political interests in Washington putting our lives at risk. [[link removed]]

Rich McCormick has used and abused his platform to ally himself with Trump and spread dangerous misinformation about COVID-19. But — you don’t have to take my word for it.
Here, in Rich’s own words, is the dangerous misinformation we’re up against: [[link removed]]
On March 16th, Rich McCormick erroneously claimed [[link removed]] that coronavirus would be “a bad memory” in “two months,” echoing claims by President Trump that COVID-19 would " disappear [[link removed]] " while he failed to take meaningful action to control the spread of the virus.
Since then, nearly 200,000 cases have been recorded in Georgia – and the numbers are still rising.
Even as those numbers rose, however, Rich continued to spread falsehoods, supporting the President no matter what the cost. As Trump denied states’ requests for aid and instead touted hydroxychloroquine, a medication the FDA had to ban for use in treating COVID-19, Rich McCormick tweeted [[link removed]] in defense of President Trump, saying his response would “save lives."
In urging the states to reopen quickly, Rich dismissed concerns about the danger of coronavirus, “I’m going to die, you’re going to die. We are temporal creatures.”
As if that weren't bad enough, this week — as unemployment claims skyrocket amid record Georgia job losses — Rich McCormick said he thinks the extended COVID-19 unemployment benefits for jobless workers " need to end [[link removed]] " and described them as "criminal."
Georgians deserve leaders who won’t play politics with their health, who listen to the scientists, and think carefully about solutions that make sense. That’s why Carolyn got into this race and that’s why she’ll finish the job this November.
Stand with me and ensure we send Carolyn to Congress to fight for us, not the political interests in Washington putting our lives at risk. [[link removed]]
