During our recent National Day of Action, I had another great opportunity to talk with Canadians in my community about their ideas for a better Canada – alongside an incredible team of hard-working volunteers.
I also heard that they are feeling the difference our government is making in their lives, and that they believe in our work together to protect our environment and grow an economy that works for everyone.
We’re investing in our communities and middle class families, including by creating the Canada Child Benefit and increasing it twice since 2015.
We introduced Canada’s first-ever national housing strategy, because every Canadian deserves a safe and affordable place to call home.
And we’re taking real action to fight climate change and protect a clean environment, including by putting a price on pollution and working to ban harmful single-use plastics by 2021.
