Here’s an update from our campaign:
** Early Voting Begins
------------------------------------------------------------
Tomorrow, March 24th, is the first day for early in-person voting for the April election.
Wisconsin families have the opportunity to vote in municipal elections, as well as for our next Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice. It’s important we get out and support conservative candidates up and down the ballot, including Maria Lazar for WI Supreme Court.

** Getting Out the Vote
------------------------------------------------------------
This weekend, I joined the Rock County GOP to help build yard signs and get out the vote. It’s important to get involved in these critical weeks before the April election.

Here are a few ways you can get involved:
* Put up yard signs
* Talk to your friends and neighbors
* Knock doors
* Phone bank

** Preventing Waste, Fraud, and Abuse
------------------------------------------------------------
Every dollar lost to waste, fraud, and abuse is a dollar that could have helped those in need or been returned to taxpayers.
Last week, I requested ([link removed]) the Department of Housing and Urban Development conduct an investigation into the mismanagement of taxpayer dollars by a Wisconsin nonprofit.

Newcap, a nonprofit in Northeast Wisconsin receives ([link removed]) $11 million in federal funding and $3 million in state funding. The nonprofit also posted back-to-back years of $2 million deficits ([link removed]) .
Reporting uncovered these deficits were contributed to, in part, by:
* Excessively high executive compensation
+ The CEO received $240,000, more than double her salary in 2018
* Using grants and funding for purposes other than their intended use like:
+ High-end dinners
+ Cooking classes
+ First-class plane tickets
HUD has referred this incident to the Office of Inspector General for investigation and audit. Read more about this case here ([link removed]) .
