Team,

The first thing my friends and family will tell you is that I’ve never stopped “kicking ass for the working class.”

So, why do I fight? Why do I take on the hard battles? Why do I stand up to bullies? Why do I speak out for the voiceless?

The answer is simple. Silence has consequences.

Born in Orange, California, to working-class immigrants from Mexico, I was raised with the idea that families stick together. I built my life here and took advantage of the opportunities my parents never had. I serve because California deserves leaders who do not shrink when things get uncomfortable.

When Trump came for Social Security and Medicare, I fought back. When American jobs were shipped overseas, I stood up for U.S. workers and businesses. When small businesses were struggling, I championed a bill to help small businesses provide retirement benefits to their employees.

I do not fight for no reason. I fight because I care about my neighbors – families struggling to get by, young people uncertain about their future, and immigrants trying to build a life in this country.

I don’t back down from bullies, and I don’t stay quiet when something is wrong.

If you believe in that kind of bold leadership, will you chip in $10 today to help me keep fighting for working families in Congress?
