Trump’s DOJ just let Live Nation and Ticketmaster off with a slap on the wrist for antitrust violations. It’s time we broke up their monopoly and saved people money.

John, For far too long, Live Nation and Ticketmaster have gotten away with bullying artists, ripping off venues, and price-gouging customers.

After years of buying up smaller companies, Live Nation and Ticketmaster had a corner on the market. In 2009, they decided to merge, creating a monopoly over the live events industry.

The Department of Justice saw the problem, and a group of state Attorneys General filed an antitrust suit against Live Nation and Ticketmaster.

But earlier this month, Trump’s DOJ let Ticketmaster and Live Nation off the hook after years of price-gouging customers. Let’s be clear: This administration is for the corporate giants, not us.

People are tired of getting ripped off while giant corporations get rich and suck the fun out of everything. Chris Deluzio thinks it's past time that we break up the Live Nation and Ticketmaster monopoly that’s ripping everybody off.
