# [#]It’s been sixteen years since the Affordable Care Act was signed into law, and since then, millions of Americans have been able to get coverage they couldn’t access before.

And yet after all this time, Republicans have NOT put forward a comprehensive plan for reform, despite launching constant attacks on affordable healthcare.

In December, I voted against their bill, which failed to renew premium tax credits and has now led to skyrocketing healthcare premiums. It wasn’t the first time, nor will it be the last, that I have voted against Republican efforts to repeal the ACA or cut Medicaid funding.

The Affordable Care Act isn’t perfect, but it remains an important foundation. We should be focused on building on what works: lowering costs, improving quality of care, and making coverage more stable and accessible.

If you agree that Congress should focus on lowering healthcare costs and expanding access to affordable coverage, add your name here. [[link removed]]ADD YOUR NAME [[link removed]]

Thanks to the Affordable Care Act, here in San Diego, nearly 150,000 people get their health insurance through Covered California, including 28,000 right here in CA-50.

For many of them, even small increases in cost can mean tough choices.

That’s why I’m doing everything I can in working with my colleagues, on both sides of the aisle, to strengthen and build upon long-lasting solutions. From lowering deductibles, improving quality of care, and stabilizing the individual insurance markets, there are attainable solutions.

Stand with me today and add your name to a long list of people who are calling on Congress to lower healthcare costs and expand access. [[link removed]]

Thank you for your continued support,
