Dear John,
Today, we are excited to announce our early round of endorsements for this year's general election. All are incumbents who already have a proven record of voting for and championing Maine’s environment.

As you know, this election is one of the most consequential in modern history. While the presidential and U.S. Senate races are at the top of our minds, we also have an incredible opportunity to elect more conservation champions at the state level.

In 2018, conservation voters like you helped change Maine’s political landscape, electing new pro-environment lawmakers and creating a window of opportunity to begin addressing the impacts of climate change on our state.

Over the last two years, Maine has ushered in groundbreaking new policies to advance renewable energy, cut carbon pollution, clean up our waters, and protect our communities. It is because of conservation champions in Augusta, including our governor, that these policies are now law.

In order to continue this momentum for environmental protection and climate action, we need to help elect leaders who will fight for a brighter, cleaner, more equitable Maine.

Our endorsed candidates share our values: clean water, clean air, accessible public lands, an equitable, safe democracy, and the pursuit of clean energy.

Thank you for being a conservation voter,

Beth

PS - Stay tuned for our next round of endorsements coming later this summer which will be based upon questionnaire responses and independent research on the candidates and their races.
