Brown Takes Command as Chief of Staff
Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr. officially took the reins as Chief of Staff of the Air Force in an Aug. 6 ceremony marking the transition of leadership from retiring Gen. David L. Goldfein. Brown pledged to build on Goldfein's top three priorities: empowering squadrons, building the Air Force's place in the joint force, and developing joint all-domain command and control. He is the first African American to serve as the top uniformed officer of a U.S. military service. Read more ►
