** August Elections
------------------------------------------------------------

Many Georgians have important runoff elections next week. Make sure your voter registration is active and you vote if there's a runoff in your area. You can check your voter registration status as well as the sample ballot for the closest upcoming elections to you at the Secretary of State's My Voter Page. Election day is Tuesday, August 11th. Make sure your absentee/mail-in ballot is received by then if you've requested it or that you vote in person before polls close on Tuesday. In person early voting varies by county. Check with your local Board of Elections for more information.

** YDG Campaign Update
------------------------------------------------------------
[link removed]

On Tuesday, the Young Democrats of Georgia Executive Committee passed an exciting and robust general election (remote) field plan!

YDG believes by boosting the youth turnout across the state of Georgia, we can flip both senate seats, flip the state house, and deliver Georgia for Joe Biden! Georgia is the key to giving Democrats control of the U.S. Senate and the Presidency!

Can you chip in $5, $20, $100, or whatever you can spare to help us ensure we turn these young voters out? The reality is that when young folks show up, Democrats win. Every dollar you contribute is another 10 young voters we can reach!

We will be reaching out to thousands of young voters who have been overlooked for far too long: newly registered young voters, low propensity young voters, and registered young voters who have never voted before.

** Become a Poll Worker
------------------------------------------------------------

Poll workers (as opposed to poll “watchers”) are paid positions with your county of residence. We need good people working in polling locations across the State who are committed to providing access to the polls!

The counties train you, pay you, and you get to see the inner workings of election administration. Expect to work a full day on election day, and during the early vote period as well. To apply, you must be at least 16 years of age, and a resident of the county in which you are applying to work, and able to read, write, and understand English. You cannot be a candidate for public office, hold public office, or the close family member of a candidate or holder of public office.

The Young Democrats of Georgia currently has less than 600 total email subscribers. We're grateful to count you among them. Please consider telling your friends, family, and any young Democrats in your network about us and invite them to subscribe ([link removed]) to our newsletter. With your help, we can reach 1000 subscribers before the election in November!

Not a social person? We are an entirely volunteer run organization from our state President down to our local chapter members. We do this work because we care. Your donation in any amount helps us contact, educate, register, turn out, and motivate Young Democrats across the state. Please give what you are able today.
