Friends, there is no question that the Trump administration is the most corrupt in our country’s history.
Look at this recent New York Times headline:
Yes, you read that right. The company that planned Trump’s January 6th rally that led to an insurrection and attack on the United States Capitol was awarded multi-million dollar contracts by the Trump administration — without even having to bid on them.
This is the kind of corruption present throughout the entire Trump administration — in agencies, in the White House, in contracts and hiring decisions and promotions — and it’s exactly what Congress is supposed to stop.
But House Republicans have made it clear they have zero interest in oversight and accountability for this administration. They’re content to stand by and let the president run the show however he wants, totally abdicating their constitutional duty to serve as a co-equal branch of government.
When we flip the House, that all stops. When we flip the House, we can conduct real oversight and ensure real consequences for the harm coming from this administration.
We can hold those abusing their power accountable — that’s our job. But we can’t do it unless we win in November.
