John -- Today marks the 55th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. The landmark legislation prohibited racial discimination in voting, and it was a tremendous achievement of the Civil Rights movement. The fight to secure voting rights and stamp out Republican voter suppression still continues, which is why we need every single American to vote.
