John,
The United States Postal Service is currently at greater risk than ever before. While hundreds of millions of Americans rely on the USPS during the coronavirus pandemic, Trump is forging ahead on plans to privatize and defund this essential service โ putting millions of jobs, small businesses, and livelihoods at risk.
This is personal to me, John. My mom worked for the Postal Service for 33 years. On that salary, she raised me and my sisters in a rent-stabilized apartment. Because of that job we all had healthcare, and when she retired it was with a good pension.
Taking away this essential service and the livelihoods that come with it is unconscionable โ and that's why I'm asking you to join me in telling the next administration to remove Trump's postmaster general, Louis DeJoy. Will you join me and add your name below?

Louis DeJoy was a Republican Party fundraiser who Trump rewarded this position with in June. He slipped into office with no attention from Congress or the press. Not even three months later, DeJoy is carrying out Trump's orders to destabilize the post office in full force, causing major delays in mail delivery across the country.
The Post Office is more than just a public service. It's a lifeline, and it's a vital part of everyday life that we absolutely cannot afford to lose. The fact that mail delays and threats of defunding this service are happening during this consequential election and census year is indefensible.
We must do everything in our power to save the USPS and remove the people in power who are responsible. Will you sign the petition to remove Louis DeJoy as postmaster general right now?
I'm grateful to our nation's postal workers. And in many ways, I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for the postal service.
Thank you for joining me and making your voice heard on this important issue.
