John,

Kim might have won her primary to once again be the official Democratic nominee for Washington's 8th district, but the results of our top-two primary make it clear this is going to be a close race again in November.

Votes are still being counted, but latest counts show Democrats receiving just half of a percent more than the Republican candidates in total -- meaning we're in for a tough fight in the general election. A Seattle Times columnist even said, "Democratic Rep. Kim Schrier of the 8th Congressional District has her work cut out for her."

We can't afford to lose Kim's voice in Congress. Rush a donation of $5 or more to help Kim protect this seat and the Democratic House majority.

Washington's 8th district is evenly split between Democrats and Republicans, so we knew from the beginning that this race would be close.

Kim and this grassroots team narrowly flipped the 8th district blue for the first time ever in 2018. But just weeks after Kim was sworn in, national Republicans named her seat a top target in 2020. The results of our primary show their work is starting to pay off.

We know national Republicans are ready to do whatever it takes to win, so we need to be prepared to fight back. As always, Kim isn't accepting a dime of corporate PAC money. Instead, we're counting on grassroots support again to help us win.

With less than 90 days until Election Day, will you chip in right away to help Kim prepare for the tough fight ahead?
