Today is the anniversary of The Voting Rights Act of 1965 which banned several discriminatory voting practices. But in the past seven years since this bill has been inactive, National Republicans are working from every angle to suppress our right to vote.
In order to stay in power and secure as much red territory as possible, they are tarnishing our democracy with deliberate efforts to keep young, progressive Americans, people of color, rural residents, and disenfranchised communities from using their voices by casting a ballot.
