Our democracy is not for sale, and neither is my time -- every supporter gets equal access and owns an equal piece of our movement.
Saturday's the deadline to hit our August fundraising goal. The pressure is on.
Most candidates would spend these final days doing "call time" — also known as calling wealthy donors and asking for money.
Not me.
I don't host any closed-door fundraisers with the wealthiest donors. I don't spend time on the phone buttering them up. Our democracy is not for sale, and neither is my time — every supporter gets equal access and owns an equal piece of our movement.
Soon, I'll be doing my style of "call time" again — thanking a few of the grassroots donors who give what they can, whether it's $5, $15, or $50.
