Wisconsin's August 11 partisan primary election is less than a week away, and it is critical that you complete and return your absentee ballot as soon as possible.

While the official deadline to return your ballot is 8 p.m. on Election Day, waiting too long to do so runs the risk that your ballot won't be received by the clerk in time and won't be counted. To guarantee that your vote is counted, please make sure to return your ballot as soon as you can! Your clerk MUST RECEIVE your ballot by 8 p.m. on Election Day – a postmark isn't enough.

With the election so close, instead of mailing in ballots, voters should try to drop their ballots off at their municipal clerk's office, or place them in a nearby drop box. Visit myvote.wi.gov for more information on your voting options.

Voting by mail is quick, easy, and essential to keeping our fellow Wisconsinites safe and healthy during the pandemic. If this is your first time voting absentee, feel free to check out this helpful video, which walks through each step of the process.

If you didn't request a ballot or haven't received one yet, you can still vote early, or in-person on Election Day. To find out where your polling place is located, go to myvote.wi.gov.
