Two years ago, A.G. Holder issued a clear warning about GOP voter suppression:

"Whether through unnecessary voter ID laws, purging of the voter rolls, or gerrymandering, Republicans are doing all they can to make it more difficult for the will of the people to be truly expressed."

He was right: Over the past decade, 25 states have instituted racist anti-voting laws, nearly 1,700 polling places have been closed, and countless people have been purged from the rolls. Now, as we battle a public health crisis, Trump and the GOP are making the situation even worse by refusing to expand access to safe voting and undermining vote-by-mail. One Washington Post columnist wrote that "Trump is setting us up for an Election Day nightmare."

The NDRC isn't sitting on the sidelines. We're fighting them every step of the way: By making voter protection a priority, by pressuring Mitch McConnell to fund vote-by-mail, and by making sure voters know their options. We will not let them further erode our democracy. We will win.
