Last night marked the first step in the 2026 election cycle, folks. Illinois had primaries all across the state, where voters cast their ballots for not just Senate, Congress, and Comptroller. We also had primaries for local races like the County Board.

I know it felt like a long lead-up to get here, but today we officially have our slate of incredible Democratic candidates who are going to help usher in the 2026 Blue Wave.

I always like to say that politics is a little bit like family. Things can get crazy and wild sometimes, but at the end of the day, we’re all on the same team, and all want the same things.
